Privacy policy

CompareDentalPrices collects the minimum information needed to run alerts, reports, corrections and tool submissions.

What we collect

  • Email and postcode for NHS alerts, area reports and saved bill-checker results.
  • Correction messages, optional evidence URLs and optional follow-up email addresses.
  • Bill checker submissions such as treatment type, price, postcode and optional practice selection.
  • Dental plan checker submissions such as monthly fee and included appointments.
  • Hashed IP values for abuse prevention and rate limiting only.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal data to practices, insurers or third parties.
  • User price reports are not automatically published as verified prices.
  • NHS alert emails do not contain commercial CTAs.
  • Practices cannot pay to change correction outcomes or organic rankings.

Email consent

Email capture is opt-in. Every email includes a signed unsubscribe link that does not expose your email address. Using it suppresses that address from future alert, report and result emails. Area report emails may include clearly labelled contextual information below the data, but never above the data.

Data retention

Operational submissions are retained while needed for verification, correction handling, abuse prevention and aggregate methodology. Personal data should be removed when no longer needed.
